We are looking for an AI Engineer who can combine LLMs, Generative AI and sound engineering practice to help build and deliver our AI products and intelligent features.

Salary and benefits at a glance

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and continuously improve the company’s AI products and intelligent features.
- Build practical applications based on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, including AI Agents / Agentic Workflows, RAG, conversational systems, AI content generation and processing, intelligent recommendations and automated workflows, and multimodal AI.
- Productionize AI models and related services, including model calls, deployment, inference services and API integration.
- Use Python for AI applications, data processing and related backend services.
- Build AI data pipelines covering data cleaning, processing, embeddings, vector retrieval, knowledge bases and related data services.
- Continuously improve model quality, response time, stability, resource usage and operating cost in line with product needs.
- Integrate AI services with existing Web, App and Backend systems.
- Contribute to AI architecture, technology selection, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Use Docker, Cloud and CI/CD technologies to build scalable AI service environments and move systems reliably from development into production.
- Track developments in foundation models, open-source models and AI development tools, evaluate new technologies and help apply them to real business needs.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, operations and business teams to turn requirements into testable, shippable AI features.
- Contribute to AI solution proposals, system architecture and development documentation.
What you bring
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant AI, Machine Learning or Software Engineering project experience.
- Strong Python skills and good engineering coding practice.
- Experience with at least one major machine learning / deep learning framework, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
- Practical project experience with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG or AI Agents.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, databases and common backend development patterns.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker and standard engineering tools.
- Ability to take an AI feature from requirements and solution design through development, testing and deployment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and delivery skills.
- Ability to read English technical documentation and communicate in English in day-to-day technical work.
Nice to have
- Production experience with LLM applications, AI Agents, RAG or Multi-Agent systems.
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or other leading model APIs.
- Familiarity with FastAPI, Node.js or another backend framework.
- Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD and Linux in production environments.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate or Qdrant.
- Experience with fine-tuning, LoRA, model quantization or inference optimization.
- Experience in computer vision, speech AI, OCR or other multimodal projects.
- Experience building commercial AI, internet or SaaS products.
- Experience working in a start-up or fast-iteration product environment.
Language requirements
- English: able to work and communicate technically in English and independently read English technical material.
- German: German communication skills are an advantage; depending on the role and team, some work may be conducted mainly in English.

Compensation and benefits
Gross annual salary
€60,000–€90,000 gross per year
Final compensation will take into account years of experience, AI / LLM project experience, technical stack and engineering capability, independent delivery ability, scope of responsibility, and cloud, MLOps and production experience.
Candidates with strong experience in LLMs, AI Agents, model optimization or complex production AI systems may discuss an adjusted package depending on the specific situation.
